The Artist's Studio
While there Cindy Petruccillo (fellow show artist) and I learned a few tips and tricks about her unique one of a kind pieces.
Leah MacDonald has been working for almost a decade with traditional fiber prints, beeswax and oil paint. Her works dramatic subject matter, often including the female form, brings to mind a 19th century dreamlike landscape. However, her soft focus and layered approach to painting and carving into "waxed" photographs creates an ultra modern touch.
Look forward to Leah and Cindy's alternative photographic works at YO! Gallery in Oct.
